Ground Rules
1) PADDING BEHIND HOME PLATE: If a pitched or thrown ball becomes lodged behind or between sections of protective padding, the ball shall be ruled dead.
2) FIELD GATES TO STANDS AND PLAYER’S TUNNEL: If a thrown ball becomes lodged in or under any field access gates or related protective padding, the ball shall be ruled dead.
3) ROLLED TARP – RIGHT FIELD:
(a) If a thrown or batted ball becomes lodged behind rolled tarp or in the tarp roll itself, it shall be ruled dead.
(b) A player may lean on, but not stand or attempt to climb on rolled tarp to catch a ball.
4) RIGHT FIELD – LEFT FIELD ACCESS GATES: If a batted fair ball becomes lodged in or under gate, it shall be ruled a ground rule double.
5) RIGHT FIELD – LEFT FIELD BULLPENS: If a thrown or batted ball becomes lodged in a bench, the ball is dead. If, however, the ball hits the bench and comes out, it shall be ruled live.
6) OUTFIELD – Any ball that becomes lodged between the field and the padding shall be ruled a dead ball.
7) ALL OTHER AREAS BETWEEN THE LINES SHALL REMAIN AS RULE BOOK PLAY.
