PROTESTS

A game may be protested if either team believes that the final decision of an umpire is contrary to an Official Playing Rule.  JUDGEMENT DECISIONS CANNOT BE PROTESTED.  Only the manager or coach of a team may protest a game.

If a manager or coach wants to protest a game, they MUST notify the Umpire-in-Chief that the game is being played under protest immediately after the event or ruling in question occurs.  Once a manager or coach notifies the Umpire-In-Chief that a game is being played under protest, the Umpire-in-Chief must immediately relay this information to the press box and the fans.

A written report detailing the event or ruling being protested must be filed with the President of the League within twenty-four (24) hours of the initial protest.  A one-hundred dollar ($100.00) protest fee must accompany the filing of all written protest reports. If the protest is allowed, the check shall be returned. If the protest disallowed, the money shall be retained by the League.

If a manager or coach protests more than one (1) game without filing a written report with the League Office, he shall automatically be fined the amount of forty-dollars ($40.00).
