HOME PLATE MEETING

Each manager must furnish two (2) copies of his official batting order and player list to the Umpire-in-Chief at the home plate meeting.  The league office has provided special line-up forms to the managers for this purpose.  Each manager must present his official batting order to the Umpire-in-Chief, at the home plate meeting, at least eight (8) minutes before the advertised starting time of the game.  The Umpire-In-Chief will retain one (1) copy of each batting order for his use and distribute a copy of the opposing clubs batting order to each manager.

A LINE-UP CARD CONSTITUTES THE OFFICIAL ACTIVE LIST (ROSTER) OF A CLUB

THE LINE-UP CARD MUST INDICATE THE CLASSIFICATION OF EACH PLAYER ON THE CLUB’S ROSTER.  PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PITCHERS MUST BE CLASSIFIED AS PITCHERS ON THE LINE-UP CARD

The Umpire-In-Chief shall NOT allow any manager or coach to see the opposing club’s batting order until he has them both in his possession.

All stadium ground rules should be reviewed at the home plate meeting. If necessary, the ground rules should be explained and reviewed until both managers and all umpires are in agreement as to their meaning and application.
